Eyeglass Recycling

The collection and recycling of eyeglasses is an ongoing concern for Lions Clubs worldwide.

The New Jersey recycling center processes one million pairs of eyeglasses annually. Volunteers transport, clean, sanitize and electronically read the prescription of glasses donated.  Recycled eyeglasses are shipped to 20 different nations in need of eyecare.
